We support and encourage opportunities for hands on learning. A love of learning starts early, and we personalise our approach for each child as an individual.
PREMIUM OPTION
We offer a premium service at no extra cost. Breakfast provided by the parent in the garden from 6.30am – 7.30am . Alfresco dinner, provided by the parent from 5.00pm – 5.30pm.
We educate, support and care for your child in a safe, nurturing environment so they thrive. We are a Lutheran Service centre catering to a maximum of 92 children, and our brand new facility is set on a beautiful acre of land. Our outdoor area is a children’s paradise and one of our most unique features that our families love us for. We have a huge garden area where the children learn, taste, and smell native plants and can be immersed in nature. We have a butterfly vine that attracts the Ludwig butterflies and caterpillars, and other amazing wildlife like possums, lizards, native bees and kookaburras. We have climbing trees, “mud” and “sand” kitchens, sandpits, and pathways to ride trikes and play games on. We spend a lot of time outdoors enjoying nature and participating in play based learning.
At St Paul’s we recognise that learning starts long before school. We understand that the first five years of your child’s life is crucial to laying the foundations for an ability to learn throughout later years. St Paul’s delivers an Early Years Program that is exciting, fun and engages real-life learning experiences for your child in a rich and open environment.
Our indoor learning spaces have everything your child could dream of during their time at our centre. We focus on providing learning opportunities to develop literacy, numeracy, and early socialisation skills in an environment that allows children to develop their creativity whilst developing their imagination, dexterity, physical, cognitive and emotional strengths.

Hi, I’m Kerry the proud Service Leader of St Paul’s Early Learning Centre in Townsville. We are located in a quiet suburb of Townsville that is only six minutes from the city centre, and around the corner from the Mater Hospital in Townsville. We have amazing families who trust us to care for their children. My team and I are proud to provide a caring and safe environment for your child and would love the opportunity to do so. I have been at this centre for over 8 years and in the profession for over 20 years, so you can rest assured that your child will be in good hands.

I have two children at the St Pauls Centre in Townsville and I am beyond happy! Not only did the team move mountains to be able to help me find availability, the level of care and support they provide is phenomenal. The outdoor area can only be described as a children’s wonderland. With different areas for veggie gardens, bike tracks, fairy houses, worm farms and not to mention my daughter’s favourite …. the wooden boat which is perfect to play mermaids.
The educators find wonderful ways to bring creativity and fun into their rooms and the independence they have helped my children build has increased their confidence significantly.
Before finding St Pauls my children attended another centre which wasn’t a great experience, but now I am so thankful that I did because it did give me an understanding of the difference a good centre can make. My children now can’t wait to get dropped off and thanks to the App and daily updates we now have a family tradition where we go through the photos and notes each day while they tell me about their experiences and it helps me feel more connected to them.
I don’t have the words to express what a great centre this is and I know the hardest part about starting school for my eldest will be that she doesn’t get to come to St Pauls each day!
